The program began with a welcome by CEO Orlean Koehle.  The opening prayer was given by Father Jeffrey Keyes of St. Eugene’s Church.  Singers Jason Lowry and Terry Lee Crandall gave beautiful renditions of God Bless the USA and Amazing Grace.

As a tribute to honor Charlie Kirk’s remarkable life, a short video was shown that was created by Turning Point USA. Our MC Captain Phil Graf was introduced who announced the rest of the program.

Lunch prayer and blessing on the food was given by Frauka Kozar, a member of the SCEF board, and the closing prayer was given by Gloria Pruyne, the President of the Orange County Eagle Forum Chapter.

The first speaker was Debbie Bacigalupi, a rancher’s daughter from Siskiyou County, CA  and former candidate for Congress. She told of the many ways our rural property owners are under attack with the destruction of dams that happened in 2023-24 with 4 dams on the Klamath River being destroyed that affects the steady flow of water that used to come to the ranchers and farmers. No longer are there any reservoirs to hold the water for emergencies such as putting out fires, plus, the cleanest form of producing energy – hydraulic is now gone. Debbie showed slides of wolves being introduced into Northern California.  Some ranchers are losing hundreds or their sheep and calves.  The wolves don’t kill and eat their prey.  They just love to kill, so most of the animals are left to slowly bleed to death with parts of their bodies missing. Since these wolves are on the endangered species list, any rancher who would dare to shoot one could face years in prison and enormous fines.

The second speaker was Patrick Wood, economist from Mesa, Arizona, and author of several books on Technocracy.  He told us of what he believes is the greatest threat to our Constitution and to our freedoms and way of life today is Technocracy and AI.  The Technocrats have been planning since back in the 1930s to take over controlling our nation and the world.  We are so much closer now with AI.  Patrickfigures we have maybe three years before AI will have taken over everything, including running governments throughout the world.  What can we do?  First of all, get informed and get prepared.  Go to Patrick Wood’s website TechnocracyNews.com.

We then had a trivia contest under the direction of Jennifer Gunderson, our young adult eagle leader, and her sister Julie Cooney.  It was a competition among tables with ten questions to answer about the Constitution.  The winning table got prizes and got to go to the lunch line first.

After lunch, we had a play – A Scenario of a Possible Article V Convention – 17 people took part, playing various parts acting out what could happen if an Article V Convention actually took place.  We had audience participation with Capt. Phil as our stage manager and showing them applause signs or to say Yay or Nay, etc.  It started out as a normal convention, with the Speaker of the House welcoming everyone and calling for a pledge of allegiance to the flag, that was led by Mark Herr Sr. an airforce vet.  But there was no opening prayer.

It was easy to see how in the course of one day, it became a run-away convention.  Liberal delegates voted to change the rules, so it would no longer be necessary to send any amendments or changes to the Constitution out to the States to be ratified. The delegates would just vote for their ratification or any changes right there at the convention.  It was then proposed by two liberal professors, who do not like our Constitution and consider it outmoded and not relevant today, to do away with it and bring in a new one called the New States Constitution, so that is what happened.  There were not enough votes from those who considered themselves conservative and supporters of the Constitution to counter the many liberals at the Convention who wanted to do away with the Constitution.

Soon, the delegates were stunned to watch as their precious US Constitution was thrown out and a new.one brought in.  Our entire form of government was changed.  Congressmen were shocked to find out that they were now unemployed, no longer part of Congress, since Congress was dissolved, the same with the Supreme Court, and the Executive branch, and all of the various departments under the Executive, including the FBI and the military.  They were now without jobs. It was also the same with all state legislators who thought this was a good idea.  They were now unemployed as well. The New States Constitution puts the entire nation under ten large regions, no more 50 states.

The play ends with the Secretary General of the UN replacing the Speaker of the House.  He takes over the lectern and explains what life will be like for the nation now under their new Constitution.  The UN will be in charge until the parliamentary system is formed, and the new states are up and running.  All elections will be canceled, and new leaders will be appointed by either the UN Secretary General, or the ten governors of the new regions who had already been selected by Obama years earlier.  The Secretary General also explains that one of the first things that will happen, following an amendment that was earlier passed in the convention, all guns would be gathered up at people's homes across the nation and confiscated.

As the stunned, distraught delegates file out of the convention hall, many of them are in tears.  They realize that they have just participated in the end of the greatest Constitution that was ever upon the face of the earth.  Thinking they were going to make it better by adding more amendments to it, they instead were duped into being part of a plan that had obviously been in the works for years.  It easily became a run-away convention and there was no holding back what happened next.  The precious US Constitution was voted to be thrown out, and a new Constitution was voted in.

As the delegates file out, they are met by armed UN Peacekeepers who have replaced the local police.  Mary and Richard Brown, delegates from Arizona and their friend Diane Turley, who were interviewed by FOX news reporters that morning when they first arrived and were so excited for this day to finally come, are stopped by the same reporters as they file out.  They are asked how they feel now about what happened at the convention.  Mary answers, “This is the saddest day of my life. I am so sorry that I was ever a part of this.”  Richard says, "We are so embarrassed and ashamed to think that we were duped into being here— that we took part in helping to destroy the greatest nation and form of government and the greatest Constitution that has ever existed on the face of the earth."  Diane answers, "We now realize that this convention was the globalists’ plan from the beginning, and much stealth and deception has gone into the preparation for this day. If only this day had never been allowed to take place!"  Glenn Beck, who had tried to prevent this run-away convention from happening, replies to the reporters, "I am in a state of shock.  It all seems like a very bad dream.  Everything is now going to be turned upside down in this new UN Communist regime.  I also don’t expect my television show will be allowed, nor will FOX news continue on. There will just be one news outlet – owned, controlled and operated by the new government."

It was shortly after that interview, that Melanie, the main reporter, received word from FOX news that this was their last broadcast.  She states, "What Glen Beck predicted just happened.  FOX news studios have just been seized by the new “interim” government, and we will no longer be broadcasting. It looks like the Bill of Rights, freedom of speech and freedom of the press have just disappeared along with our US Constitution. Her companion reporter Angie states, "Farewell, our beloved FOX news audience. We wish you well in this 'brave new world.'”

Our Keynote Speaker, Mark Herr Sr. from the state of Washington spoke after the play.  He is the founder and president of the Center for Self Governance, and the author of Speaking the Language of Liberty.  He teaches classes on self governance and equips people with the tools they need to navigate government and society.  He gave us many innovative ideas and knowledge about the Roman vs the Greek systems of government. One can go onto his website and attend the classes he teaches through zoom.  His website is centxerforselfgovernance.com.

After a few closing remarks by Orlean Koehle about having courage and putting on the full armor of God, the meeting ended with a raffle and auction.

We received wonderful comments by those in attendance, and Mark Herr Sr. asked if he could put our play into some format with AI units acting out the parts.  We will let you know when that comes out

Thank you to our planning committee, to our former enthusiastic State President Andy Springer, to Samantha Waldroup of Turning Point USA, to our outstanding speakers, to our young adult eagles, to Gary Bosely, state board member, who took all of the many pictures, to our many vendors, our sponsors, and to all of our attendees for a very successful state conference that was held April 5 at the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park, CA, attended by

about 170 people.

We co-hosted the event with Turning Point USA, which helped entice about 70 young people to attend the conference. The theme was “Now More than Ever.” The banner that hung on the podium also presented the theme and purpose of the conference. It read, “Eagle Forum of Californa and Turning Point USA – Empowering Gen Z Conservatives – Now More Than Ever.” At the bottom of the banner is a picture of

an Eagle mother hovering over, protecting and being a mentor for a baby eaglet, depicting how Eagle Forum would like to serve with our young Eagles.

Conference Details: The morning started with a welcome from young adult eagle Sam Springer, who also gave the opening prayer and flag salute. He was followed by a beautiful rendition of “God Bless America,” sung by soprano Terry Crandall. She also later sang “On Eagles Wings,” the favorite song of Phyllis Schlafly, the founder of Eagle Forum.

Steve Hilton, of Fox News was our first speaker spoke. He gave highlights on Terry Crandall his new book, CALIFAILURE. Reversing the Ruin of America’s Worst-Run State. He gave details and examples of all the many ways that under Democrat leadership our once Golden State has become a failure and now faces extreme debt. After answering many questions from mainly the youth, Hilton did hint that he might be willing to run for governor to try to turn this state back to its once golden name.

Samatha Waldroup, the Bay Territory Field Representative for Turning Point USA, has been assisting Jennifer Gunderson, our Young Adult Eagle Leader, in her monthly meetings with the youth. Samantha introduced the key note speaker from TP USA, Morgonn McMichael. She is an attractive 2 5 year-old actress, writer, media influencer, podcast host, and regular contributor to Turning Point USA. Morgonn shared some of her experiences and gave pointers of what it takes to stand strong as a Christian youth in this difficult culture today. She also ans-wered many questions from the youth. They were very impressed with her and everyone wanted a picture with her.

Awards: After the morning break, Andy Springer honored people with “soaring eagle” trophies.” The first one went to Danya Ghirardelli, head of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau, who lead the charge in helping to defeat Measure J - by 80%! Measure J would have declared all of the large dairies and poultry farms in Sonoma County as “Factory Farms,“ and shut them down. With tears in her eyes, Danya expressed her appreciation for the award and how humbled she was to receive it. Samantha Waldroup received a trophy for being so valiant and diligent in working with our youth for almost a year. She lives in Berkely, so had a 2-hour drive to come to Santa Roa. Michael O’Shea, the co-founder of the Sonoma Media Group, including KSRO radio, also was honored for his influence on conservative talk radio in Sonoma County. He later spoke to us on passing the baton and being a good mentor. Heshe told of how he had helped Glenn Beck started in radio when Beck was only 15. They were living in the state of Washington. Glenn would have to travel by bus to get to the studio because he was too young to drive. O’Shea played a clip from Glenn Back telling the story and thanking his original mentor, Michael O’Shea.

Orlean and Kurt Koehle were both surprised to receive eagle trophies. Orlean’s trophy read “Legacy Eagle.” Kurt’s trophy was honoring him for his many years “behind the scenes support” of Orlean in her leadership positions in Eagle Forum and he is supporting her again now as she is the CEO for Eagle Forum of California.

Pastor David Miller, newly retired after 45 years serving as a pastor, gave the blessing on the luncheon. Orlean Was the MC for the afternoon and had the honor of introducing Kris Ullman, our national Eagle Forum president, who came all the way from Virginia to speak to us. She is an attorney, who took a long leave of absence to raise her three children who are all GenZ now. She told how Phyllis would always begin her speeches by saying, “I would like to thank my husband Fred Schlafly for his support and granting me the permission to be here.” She would say that because she knew it always upset the feminists – to think that a woman would acknowledge that her husband has any control or influence over her!

Kris told of the principles that Eagle Forum stands for; she told how Phyllis Schafly led the battle to fight and defeat the Equal Right Amendment, which was a very liberal, feminist amendment, really an abortion amendment in disguise that would have made abortion possible for all women with tax paying dollars paying for it. She told of the many moral, Christian principles that Eagle Forum stands for and what we are fighting against. At the end of her speech she announced the dates of the national Eagle Council in September 8-10. They want us to come while Congress is in session and to lobby our Congressmen on important issues. She also made an announcement that Eagle Forum always chooses a husband to honor at their national conference, one who has been giving support over many years to their wives who are leaders in Eagle Forum. She said, “You are the first to know.

This year we have chosen Kurt Koehle, the husband to Orlean.” She invited Kurt to stand. What a double surprise this was for Kurt and Orlean. At this point, Orlean had tears in her eyes.

Debbie Bacigalupi was our second speaker in the afternoon. She is a rancher’s daughter from Siskiyou County. She had the courage to run for Congress back in 2012 when she was living in the Bay area and working for Google as an events planner. She ran on the platform of exposing UN Agenda 21/now 2030. She told how the globalists through their radical UN policies are bringing down our dams, destroying reservoirs and the best clean energy source – hydraulic energy, all with the excuse of saving fish. But the fish can’t live in all the toxic water that comes after a dam is removed. She told of the 4 dams that just came down on the Klamath River, close to where she lives. Thousands of dead fish were lining the banks of the river, and other wildlife got stuck in the thick mud and died. She also told how they are introducing “endangered” wolves that kill the newborn calves, just for the fun of it. They don’t eat them, they just go on to the next one. She has so much to tell us that we decided to invite her back for our next yearly event – our Constitution Day celebration that will be held September 20th. Location to be announced.

Fundraiser: Thank you to Cheryl Casey who was in charge of the fundraising: the silent auction, raffle and live auction. She did a great job. Thank you to all the vendors and people who donated their items for the silent auction and the raffles. Andy Springer was the final speaker. He summarized the conference and expressed his gratitude to all those who had helped plan and prepare for it, thanked the speakers, and sponsors again and mentioned how great it was to partner with Turning Point USA and to have the young adult eagles with us, the future of our state and nation. He also gave the closing prayer.
